Well Padds,,In fairness,,I was scooting around 4 or 5 other chatrooms at the same time like. As good as I am,I'm have My limits.
Plus,,After all that,,you met me in another chatroom,,and said nothing to me,,so,,either you didn't have a problem,or,,the problem wasn't that urgent? :violin:

Can we not just set up a padds has a go at Mr Cork room lol god that would be a good laught but on a serious note, excellent idea on that new room i thought the op stood for Old People lmao never mind im blonde so i can get away with it , i think lol

I went room hoping tonight to assist another member, went into the both the Beach and Suzies chat and requested a whisper with both MODS that had there STARS on,,, no response, and still none.
I then sat in the OPS room and waited..... still nothing....
I returned to the Beach,,,,, and still no response...
I understand MODS are busy and this is no way a reflection on them... But I needed guidance, not for me but for someone else.
I do suggest a bell or alert of some nature is added to the room if that is the nature of its existance or is the room as I had previously posted an Idle room inherited when the new upgrade was copied over from the UK site?
I will prob get a telling off for posting this, and possibly a ban.
If that the case, I will live with that!

can i just back up what padds has wrote there, i totally agree that a bell or some form of alarm that someone is in the room awaiting help as i was waiting in the room today for nealy half an hour and nobody came to help me and in the end i just logged. An alarm or some form of indication to mods to let them know is a brill idea padds well done for comming up with that one
i think the new upgraded look of the site has caused a few teething problems for us moderators , where as before the rooms and number of occupants was displayed in chat , now we need to constantly keep checking and opening a window to see this info..... in fairness, mite be the time to add that , urgent queries should be directed to the support center .... it may have been one of those occasions when there were few mods logged in and the request via whisper for assistance was not seen, after all mods are VOLUNTEERS who give their time to assist . ava xx

Like my previous post, my comments where not directed at individual MODS or was in NO was a reflection on the MODDING capabilities, I for one am promoting the new look, but this room appears to be a waste of time and is causing an element of confusion.
I appreciate the work that you do, some never realise that factor! It's not all about sitting in a chatroom with a star on, the background work can be at times daunting, but needs to be done.
My aim in this post was not only highlight that members where sitting there waiting but the need for the for the room to be there in the first place!
Nobody likes change, with change comes learning, for us all!
Changes to the site in my eyes reflects ADMINS committment to the site, once again making it the best Swing site for the Island of Ireland.

Padds why would you think that you would “get a telling off or a ban,†from you time as a moderator you must know we welcome when glitches or inconsistencies are pointed out to us by members, at the end of the day , none of us are infallible,and it all helps to a better run site.
In return, all I can say regarding the op room , is that I wasn’t online that night however the mods who were on may have been dealing with other issues, perhaps didn’t see your enquiries or maybe weren’t even there, as you know yourself sometimes names get stuck.
Further to the op room, I myself raced in there the day before when I saw two people assuming they needed help, shortly after Sherrie arrived too, only to find that they people present were having a nice chat amongst themselves , and had no need what so ever of help , they has taking to the opportunity to relax in a quiet room and were quite disappointed when we mentioned what the room was for, and that they would be better moving or making a room for them selves .
So it’s a learning curve for everyone , things get tried and tested all the time, all towards making a better run site for everyone.

A new added glitch since the upgrade!
Being "Timed out" of the main log in page!
When you log in and select "chatrooms" a new window opens and takes you too the "Chatroom"
However after a few mins if you return to the previous "Log in Window" you have been logged out?

From what I know padds, the site always booted you off if you were only in chat and not active on any other part of the site, cept before it took longer to time out...now it seems to be a lot quicker.

Can i just add to what padds has said, if you go into a chat room and then you are by some weird chance cheicking out someones profile, you will find that you are logged out and need to log in again, this happend me today so i went out and back in again and just timed myself, i logged in went straight into chat room, went staight to a profile and opened to find i had to log in again?
As I said before..when your not actively using the other areas on site and only in chat it will time out...it has always been this way..but now it is timing out a lot quicker...and I will bring this to admins attention.

Thanks, I never normally mention that I was a MOD apart from the odd banter in the chat, but Slighty did in the above post so I will post further, in all the time I was Modding, I never experienced that problem.
It just appears since the upgrade, this is a glitch and I am sure easily rectified, I am not sure if it occuring for you MODS, but is sure as hell happening for us users!

Padds, this issue has cropped up in the last few days I noticed it, But admin has the Matter sorted now and all is well with the world again. Any other particular glitches etc can people just mention them here and we (Mods) will keep an eye on it and try and address any issues if we can.

Padds, most probably it never happened to you before because your very active in the forums as well as chat, but it used to happen to me when in chat and not browsing elsewhere on site in interval stages, and not only me, as I consulted a few other chatters on this matter after you posted it, and they were of the same mind as myself...but anyhow..matter is sorted now, which is good.
Got the same thing happening to me - and only recently too Log in, and go to chatrooms, even 5 mins later I've to log in again before I can to go to forums :(
