There's no answer to that question i believe and something i could never figure out, maybe some people just get a kick out of it but that's just a guess as i can only comment from arranging to meet women and the same thing happens. I've arranged time off to meet people , traveled sometimes miles to meet someone and been let down only to be let down and sometimes with no text or anything, so it's not just men that do this.
I know that some people on here only meet established ppl etc but from my experience at least it's no guarantee that the person will turn up or won't waste your time so as far as i'm concerned the whole established thing is a bit meaningless but i'm sure others may disagree but that's just been my personal experience from being on this site.
