About 10 years ago my own nieve reasons for getting involved was for extra curricular sex ... even in the early days of the internet there were pop-ups for "meet lonely housewives near you" ... never mind newspaper articles on wife swopping, articles on 1970's hippy orgies an enlightened view of sex in other european countries and sex-clubs.
The reality of course was far removed from the truth, meeting people was no different from meeting people outside the "swing" scene ... the laws of attraction/interest apply ... even in clubs or at a party where everyone is there of an evening for the same thing.
Sites and clubs just make it easier to meet like minded people.
Why after all these years am I still swinging?
Well I enjoy it, I enjoy meeting people, I like that it is NSA , the Sex is great & I have made many good friends over the years
The friends being an un-expected bonus, so many interesting people I would probably never have be-friended in my normal social sphere.
Every now and then I take a break away but I always find myself coming back ... the life-style is a little "Hotel California" in that respect
