I was wondering though - if you had not mentioned it in "Chat" to the recipients and just waited, would you have got a reply in time and did they just say they deleted cos they percieved you to be pushy?? Just a question

I must admit I prefer reply - even if not interested as I don't always trust that technology has actually sent the first mail ??? Strange that and I work in IT but there you go. Plus it doesn't take much to just sy no thanks not interested. However I'm not as experienced on this site as others and certainly would not have the volumn of mails, wanted or unwanted for me to have any real opinion, plus it must make a difference depending on the content of that first initial email! But politeness is politeness as well.
Ah the nerves yes - got me too big time and probably will again. My first meet was in a big meeting in Carlow. No-one had met me or anything so I booked my room in the hotel - if nerves got too much I needn't have introduced myself and just had a nice break from home and no harm done.... Thankfully I did none of that and got to say hi to all there and with the informal atmosphere everything went "swingingly". It has now made me want to meet again, and again, and again...... ypou get the picture ;)
So back to the thread newcpl - I'm single/separated and ready and willing to meet anyone anywhere - but with the caviat that weekends can be difficult because I have little feet then.. xxx
