We will be updating all of the stickies in here over the next few days, for now here's the Guidelines for Meet & Greets/Socials
Any new meet&greets or socials listed will now have to conform to these guidelines, those that are already listed will be allowed to run their course.
What is a Meet and Greet or Social event?
They are a purely social event held in a totally neutral environment, often somewhere like
a pub, where members of Swing4Ireland get to meet each other. As there's no play
involved everyone can relax which gives newbie's a chance to ask questions of the more
experienced members in a no pressure relaxed environment.
They are a great way to finally meet all those people you've been chatting with on the
site, or just to make new friends.
We have also put together an article Whats a Meet and Greet, if you are organising a meet & greet please make sure you read it as it contains useful information, together with the criteria for qualifying as a meet & greet.
How to find out about Meet and Greets or other arranged social events?
You'll find organised Swingers Meet and Greets 'stickled' at the top of the Let's Meet Up forum.
Or you can simply look on the events section of the site. The exact location is kept strictly
private between the organisers and those who are attending the event for privacy
reasons.
Who can attend a Meet and Greets or Social events?
Anyone can register to attend a Meet and Greets providing they are an active member of the site
and have not been banned, however they need to be accepted by the organiser.
Social events are different in that they are generally not specifically organised by site
members just for site users, so you need to be aware that non members or banned members
might be in attendance.
Are these official S4i events?
No, they are organised by members of the site for members of the site. They are not
organised in any official capacity by the site. S4i takes no responsibility for anything that
happens at these events.
Meet & Greet Rules
Only people who have been accepted can attend the event.
It should be a non profit, non fundraiser and non commercial event.
Only active site members can attend a meet & greet who are not banned.
No products, services, or promotion of any kind can take place
Rules for socials
Only people who have been accepted can attend the event.
It should be a non profit and non commercial event.
If an event has a charity element included, then all contributions should be voluntary and not form an integral part of the cost for the night.
The event is the responsibility of the organiser and a list of attendees is to be made
available if requested.
If you know that banned members are attending you should provide site members
with the details as soon as possible.
No products, services, or promotion of any kind can take place
Anyone who breaks the above rules or who's conduct does not act in the 'spirit' of the
event could be blacklisted from attending further events, or banned from using the site.
Commercial Events
We have noticed that from time to time clubs or members have organised what appear to be commercial events, for now, we believe that there is a place for some of them provided that members are made aware that these are commercial events, however we would not want to see every man and his dog trying to cash in, or indeed people organising escort type activities so we will be keeping an eye on any that do appear and removing any that we do not feel meets the ethos and spirit of the site.
Any commercial event shall contain the wording "commercial event" in both the title and the thread description, they should also provide full details of any charges or requirements to attend.

Dress code for meet&greets is just the same as any social gathering ie. the afters of a wedding. Obviously whatever your comfortable wearing. Most venues dont know its a swingers meet and greet so discretion is of the premium wink

We are new to the swinging scene and would like to meet like minded couples for some fun! Tried this site but have found it difficult to connect with anyone. So how about meeting up for a drink and a chat and we'll take it from there!!
