I have had a bad experience over the past day or so. I had a run in with a mod, sherri to be exact because I had the temerity to say I didnt like the tone of some of some of things that one of her buddies said to me.I wasnt rude or anything no profanities etc.I was rounded on by this sherri person for this. I told her she couldnt possibly be objective seeing that she knows this other person at which point she took umbrage. Then this morning I have an email from some griff person that i accused a mod of bias ( rattle thrown out of pram sherri) and that mods are never biased. My experience is different. Now there are some perfectly nice mods out there Titan, avalon and Mr corkhot ( who I have had the pleasure of meeting)to name but a few. However my point is Self Regulation is no regulation. I enquired if i could have my money back and I would leave but I was referred to regulations (in the vernacular F*** off).
This thread will probably be pulled as it may upset the mods and my point will be proven.
If it is left up I expect a barrage of insults from mods and their buddies.
Muldern, i'd love to give my opinion here of what i really think about the whole modding thing, but out of fear of being spoken down to like a little child for voicing my opinion, i will refrain from doing so.
Moderators apply the rules and that isn't always easy, some people believe that the rules do not apply to them and that is usually when these issues are raised.
The admin team deals with any issues related to moderators together with anything else that a member here may wish to raise and we have a support ticket system in place for that purpose.
This is by no means a self regulation, so in answer to the original question of who watches the watchers the answer would be we do.
And why would we trust you any more than them.

Your reply will probably be along the lines of if you dont like it leave and I will if you refund my money otherwise I will not let this go as I am in the right here. Your Mod was wrong to attack me and then ran crying to get your attack dog Griff to attempt to put me in my place. Well if u think sending a child of 25 ( I have a table tennis bat which is older and more useful) to browbeat me will work think again. Sherri owes me an apology as does Griff.
You may think you are in the right but you are not.
We have rules that need to be followed and everyone has to agree to these rules before they use the site, its part of the join up process.
It is not acceptable for people to act in an offensive way and that does apply to how people speak to the moderators, you should bear that in mind before using the chatroom again.
I hope to make myself very clear here, as I am only going to post once on this matter, and no further. Yesterday in chat there was banter and joking by myself and kinky1, when you mulderntcell joined in. Not once at any stage was there an offensive remark directed towards you, or about you. You took umbrage with another member making women jokes, which I might add were neither crude nor vulgar in any way, and speaking as a woman, I took it with a pinch of salt, as most people would. You told that person and I quote “ to take a hikeâ€. Thereafter, I told you no offence was directed at you in anyway, and because I made it known I knew the member I then get accused of being biased.. That mulderntcell is an affront to my integrity and I will not now, nor ever allow anyone to insult me in such a manner both in real life and in the cyber world. The only offence in the chat yesterday was by you when you, and again I quote the words you used, said I was “ biased, thick and overwrought†. For a member who allegedly took offence over some joking about women, you sure don’t have any problem yourself patronising and insulting one directly.
I am a member here first and then a mod, and when I get insulted by anyone I will go to admin and report them as I am entitled to do like any other member on this site. Because I volunteer as a mod does not make it that I am exempt from any rule by admin or any protection by admin from offensive members, and you mulderntcell were offensive to me.
Finally again let me be clear, I do not, nor have I ever, showed bias towards any member when acting as a mod. As far as I am concerned now, this matter to me is closed, and I will not be making any further comments on it, nor do I expect anyone else to, excluding yourself.
I won't comment on the incident...All I will say is...
Sherri is sound. Sherri is fair. Sherri is one of the best mods on here and her integrity is never in question.

I know you did not want any further posts, but me, being me I felt I had to reply.
As most of you know, I am very vocal in both my posts and in my opinions, that said, whilst I did not not witness the situation above, I for one have always found you a a great MOD, fair, funny and dare I say stunning.
MulderT, I really don't think the forums are a place to air subjects of this nature (no dis-respect) Would a simple email or whisper not have surficed? I hope Mulders we don't loose you from the site, I always enjoy your posts in the Forums.
But then, on reflection I have done the same in the past, aired my views! but have learned.
Let's all get over this and move on. I think that if any member has a problem with a Site Moderator, then contact ADMIN directly.
I for one think that ADMIN is a very fair person, if he where not, would this thread still exist? or would I be still here?
This is a swinging site, a site that is supposed to be fun, lets not take the reasoning out of why we are all here.

admin I am in the right i did not say anything offensive rather i was attacked by sherri "defending" her buddy. sherri I pay my membership too however i did not run to admin just put it down to experience and tried to carry on. This was not afforded to me as instanced by griffs emails. You were biased sherri and nothing you admin or anyone says will change my mind. Take a hike is not offensive and did not warrant your interference. I was terminating the conversation when you attacked me. Yes i did say thick but in the colloquial sense of being angry which I explained to you how dare you use it here in my post as in calling you stupid which i did is an expression we use here. I do not know you (or wish to) but I would never use it in that manner. Yes you were overwrought as was I at that point so i left chatroom before you kicked me or we both said something we would later regret. Refund my money admin I have no wish to be anywhere where free speech is only encouraged as long as it suits some of the mods.

Thankyou for the kind words Raven, however due to the fact that I feel there would be an attempt by certain mods and friends of certain people to bully and intimidate me which would not bother me in slightest but I cannot in good consience subject mrsm to that as i doubt that certain of these people would have the wit ( thats the intelligence lest we have another misunderstanding) to differentiate and she would not deserve that. I've read the logs and for anyone else reading you would either need to have been in the room or to have read the logs in order to draw any conclusions.
In my opinion there was no attack and sherri was polite in her initial comment to you.
We have no problem with freedom of speech here provided that no rules are broken.
Now I'm not about to discuss what was said and talk about who over reacted, or even use extracts from the conversation to make a point on a public forum, although in starting the thread you have invited that from sheri, but you are free to pm me if you to discuss further.
I'm not actually biased as you state above and do not have any pre-conceived opinions or judgements, I look at every complaint or report for what it is, after looking at the logs I don't see what all the fuss is about.
If any member on this site was bullied or intimidated by another member we would take action as for one thing its against our rules (as I keep saying) and to be quite honest not good for the site.
admin do you read what you write before pressing the add key. You already spoke about what sherri said and took her side in your statement and then you go on to say you are not going to discuss it in a public forum after doing just that. Yes I opened the door to the discussion but at least I do not contradict myself in the middle of my argument. This is never going to be sorted and I can feel myself ageing rapidly. I have a life (just about) and while this little contretemps provided a modicaum of distraction i must bid you adieu pour la moment.
hi muldernTcell,,if it makes you feel any better i had same experience while bacl on two occasions with different mod's and i got as far as you did !!!!i wont go into the details or names of the mods which wernt sherri bwt,,,however i do think mods should be screened better and maybe changed after a max of 3 mths as this stop any power trips ect that might happen knowing that the person (mod)has to resume chatrooms on normal user basis !!!!some mod's are here a long long time and need to be changed not only for the site but for themselves and with what i heard tonight i think a revamp needs to be done sooner rather than later before the site collaspes !!!
