Hey Lovebird, I understand your sentiment. I don't really know the mods personally, though i did meet one fantastic Mod. They have a job to do and sometimes us "mere mortals" are unhappy with some of their actions or decisions, but thats how the site is policed and we are here by choice. One occasion, i made a funny (i thought)comment about a mod on a thread, and then a few mods circled the wagons on the thread to "set me straight", which shows that (1) they stand up for each other, which is a positive trait and (2)they dont like there fellow mods been made fun of my a "mere mortal". Luckily lots of the mere mortals also circled the wagons...biggrin
lovebird i think at this stage if you have a real issue about it, then you should make a complaint about it. Thats just my opinion otherwise this will go down the same, and repeated argument of....us and them...and clics etc etc no offence intended but you cant keep 100% of the people happy 100% of the time and i would think the vast majority of people here enjoy using this site. Kitten x
lovebird on closer inspection...the post saying the thread would be locked was at 11. the last post was 11:19...maybe the last post was made just before the thread was locked?
hi lovebird have to agree with you on your thread

I am a little confused here so maybe someone can help me out??
not meaning to keep dragging up the issue of locked threads, but i feel in this case i simply must return to the topic.
a thread id started was locked for whatever reasons which are unbeknown to me.
this is not my issue now, my issue is 'How on earth could anyone post on a locked thread'???
the only answer i can come up with is that the thread was opened up for a short time so the person could post.
and ask yourself who could do this? could us mere mortal site users do this?? no.
it had to be a mod, well seeing as it was a mod who posted, even i can work that one out.
yet again this isnt the most frustrating aspect, the most unfair and annoying thing is, as a mod you can override another mod, and open up a locked thread just so you and you alone can post/
is this fair?
does this not strike even the most fair minded, tolerant ppl as an abuse of 'mod' power??
and yes in the grand scheme of things its not that big a deal( i do realise that)but it gets my goat that their is an element of 'il do it coz i can'.
i do understand there are rules which are vital in running a site like this.i would like to say here and now that i DO appreciate the mods do on this site. i have know mods who done a fantastic, professional, balanced job here.
i would like to thank you all who do this job.
but as a member i am entitled to post regardless of who agrees or disagrees with me.
if i gotten this wrong i will certainly apologise.
lovebird
xx

I agree completely with the above.
