Ok its cold, snowy and icy out there. So in response to that I ask you what is it that really warms your heart? Im sure you have more than one thing that does it for you, as do I. So share with us all, and spread the warmth.
One of the things that really gets to me and makes me smile is:
At the end of the 9 o'clock news on Xmas Eve the newscaster always says that they have received reports that Santa has left the North Pole and should be delivering in Ireland around midnight. Yeah I know I'm a softie, but I always wait to see this part. Never fails to make me smile.
well it has to be looking at a film with all the kids fire lighting and the sound of laughter and the christmas tree lights aglow the house all snug and warm you cant beat it .
the same as yourself alicolwic, not just the news but the whole christmas eve. there's always a special buzz and everyones in a great mood. maybe its because we're about to start a party that lasts for a week
:smile2: Put up my christmas tree tonight(all 10" of it) and when my little 2yr old came in, in his fleecie one'zies, he was amazed, he stood under it, eyes dancin with the reflection of the lights, finger pointing up at it saying "Oh woww, oh woww!!!" (like the cornflakes ad wit little girl sayin "HO!HO!HO!".
And then before he went to bed tonight he had to say good night to the "Oh Wow!!":inlove::inlove::rose::inlove::inlove:
many things warm my heart................a kind word or just a smile.....a hug........the cold wet nose of two dogs greeting us when we have just slipped out to the shop..........someone accepting me for what I am and not trying to mould me into what they want me to or believe i should be......the hush that seems to descend upon the earth on Christmas Eve.......and my kids who now are older and independent but a hug from them or the words *I love you Mum* mean so much...... being appreciated for the things I do..... cuddles from my two cats and of course there is nothing quite like a dragon cuddle to brighten up a dark day and my dragons give the best dragon cuddles on earth lol
and yes thewup humanity at one with nature.............................................and the friends we have made on here you mean so much

The big hugs I get from my niece and nephew when I call round, and the kiss and cuddle I get with a 'night night auntie xxxxx love you' when they are going to bed
