What Is The Little Tick Box For?

Just wondering if anyone knows what the little tick box that is next to the password entry box on the sign in page is for? The first box is for your account login, the second is for your password, but what is the little square tick box next to this for? Is this used to keep you signed in if you close down your browser? Or is it used to remember your account login ID? Or is it used for something else altogether? dunno

I presume it's to keep you signed into your account when you reopen alright as that's usually what it means.. I tried it there for the first time and havn't noticed any major change, my page hasn't changed colour or no fireworks are going off so either way it doesn't seem to do much... lol

Its for remembering your login details if you solely use the machine you access the site from. Not sure if it works all the time though as most browsers now support login details memory.
