I have noticed that a lot of you on here have the following text at the bottom of the profiles:
WARNING: Any institution or person using this site or any of its associated sites for study or projects - You do not have our permission to use any of our profile or pictures in any form or forum both current or future. If you have or do, it will be considered a serious violation of our privacy and will be subject to legal ramifications.
Can anyone explain why this is? Has there been some kind of security breach? Has anyone found that an institution or university has used their details / photos in a study of somekind? I'm just curious as we dont have this warning on our profile and are also now a little worried that we are now open to some kind of publicity. Is it imperative to have such a warning in order not to have your details used?

Its all bollox really, someone sees it and then puts it on their profile. The site has a copyright thing on it if anyone copies anything from the site its beached, this would not stop some spammers or content scrapers as they take little notice, the warning would have no greater effect or indeed offer any additional protection.
This is the Internet and as such is pretty easily found the best thing to do is be careful what you write if you do not wish it to be seen or known.
As for that warning bollox, you don't need it.

Most of the breach can be people talkin to much we had an incident a few years ago with the Sunday world where i ended up on the centre page kissin a lady from the site lol in a hotel in Louth. Some 1 rang the hotel and asked to book a room for the s4i party the twat lol. but like admin says b careful too much info and pic,s can b googled least thats the way it was. I think its sorted now but still keep ur pic,s locked and keep ur profile short with no names on it,names can b given in whisper or text or mail lol.
