Not sure if many are interested but heres a link to the live launch of the last space shuttle mission I meant to post it earlier today its Due to take off in the next few minutes..yeah I know a bit late lol. EDIT Well so much for the excitement, its been scrubbed for another 72 hours for some reason......oh well. wink
your supposed to be able to see it over Ireland at 9:07 tonight
Its been put off til Monday I think.
Titan, I'm resting on my tripod waiting for Monday, no pun intended. But will the trajectory still put it over Ireland with the new launch? Do you happen to know if launch time will fall on our darkenss?
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone rotflmao And I think its gona be a long long time...... wink
With all the budget cuts you have to wonder what the immediate future is for the US space program. The Space Shuttle is being retired and as of yet there seems to be no replacement being lined up as the replacement that was planned called Project Constellation was effectively cancelled by President Obama although some Senators in the US have tried to revive the project, it remains to be seen if it will come to pass. It will be a long time before they get to their stated aim of getting a manned mission to Mars underway, I wonder if I will see it in my lifetime?

I heard China are in the process of Planning a moon program.
Lickirishall...I honestly couldn't tell you I wouldn't be that avid a space travel fan. But in my experience they normally tend to follow the day time launches with night ones but entirely depends on the weather I will consult my space buff pal and get back to you on this thread.
