Absolutely positively my favourite piece of orchestral music ever composed. Star Wars, E.T., Raiders or Close Encounters as good as they are doesnt have a patch on this.
If you have a good CD copy of this tune, listen to it with a good set of headphones and count how many different instruments you can make out. I can make out quite a few. But then again this is my fave piece of music ever.
Id love to see this movie released again in cinemas, if just to watch the opening credits in 7.1 surround.
