This song just popped into my head this morning, great little choon :-) Say What You Want - Texas
[b:a9278e2d24]The Fray - How To Save A Life[/b:a9278e2d24] From The Album: How To Save A Life (2006) I remember hearing this song for the first time while sitting in the departures lounge of O'Hare International Airport in Chicago waiting to board a plane back to Dublin in 2006. Thought the lyrics were really good and downloaded it as soon as I got home. Love the fact that the piano is so integral in this song. [b:a9278e2d24]"As he begins to raise his voice, you lower yours grant him one last choice Drive until you lose the road, or break with the ones you've followed He will do one of two things, he will admit to everything Or he'll say he's just not the same, and you'll begin to wonder why you came Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend, somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life"[/b:a9278e2d24] Here's a link to the video Enjoy

The only magic missing from the Take That gig! But plenty of magic in the weekend to make up for it!!
[b:c65a1c36dd]Daniel Powter - Bad Day[/b:c65a1c36dd] From the self titled album: Daniel Powter (2005) Another piano based song that I really love. Always one to listen to if youre feeling down and need a boost. The video to this song is very smartly shot, and uses split screen to show two seperate single people (A guy & a girl) going about their daily routines, while at certain times their lives intersect. Watch the video you'll see what I mean. For such a simple video shoot, it's very good & very smart. [b:c65a1c36dd]"You stand in the line just to hit a new low, You're faking a smile with the coffee to go You tell me your life's been way off line, You're falling to pieces everytime And I don't need no carryin' on Cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down, You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know you tell me don't lie, You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day, the camera don't lie, You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day, you had a bad day"[/b:c65a1c36dd] Heres a link to the video Enjoy

Hearbeats - Jose Gonzales
[b:8b92a83bf8]Def Leppard - Animal[/b:8b92a83bf8] From the album: Hysteria (1987) Although recorded in Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin in 1984, this song wouldnt be released until 1987. Its also my fave Def Leppard song, and I usually blast it on max volume when played. I remember when the song was released in the summer of 1987, I was only 10, but noticed the drummer had only one arm in the video. [b:8b92a83bf8]"A wild ride, over stoney ground Such a lust for life, the circus comes to town We are the hungry ones, on a lightning raid Just like a river runs, like a fire needs flame Oh, I burn for you I gotta feel it in my blood, Whoa-oh I need your touch don't need your love, Whoa-oh And I want, and I need, and I lust - Animal And I want, and I need, and I lust - Animal"[/b:8b92a83bf8] Heres a link to the video Enjoy
A town called malice - The Jam
[b:f5bbf00f70]Evanescence - My Immortal[/b:f5bbf00f70] From the debut album: Fallen (2003) Just a lovely song with great lyrics. Again another piano based song thats also nice to listen to as you unwind, preferably on a dull wet day. [b:f5bbf00f70]"You used to captivate me by your resonating light But now I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears And I've held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me"[/b:f5bbf00f70] Heres a link to the video Enjoy
imho this man is a genius  eminem - not afraid
Not so widely known but a classic! smashing pumpkins - airplane flies high Couldn't find a very good version of this on youtube but this was the best I could find..
Beck - Lost Cause Gotsa love a nice little tune every now and again :-)
Heres a not so well known tune from 1978 called Dragon Power. It has a great disco beat, but I doubt it would have been played in any clubs back then, except for maybe Hong Kong & the rest of South Easts Asia. There was never any video made so I decided to make one myself smile Was quite tedious & time consuming making the video, trying to sync the dialogue & sound effects on the track with what is on screen, but it was a labour of love all the same. Heres a link Enjoy

Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest This song features on Twilight's soundtrack - which in all honesty is a dark horse as far as quality soundtracks go I think
[b:7f97098aea]Kid Rock - All Summer Long[/b:7f97098aea] From the album: Rock n Roll Jesus (2007) Great song incorporating samples from both Warren Zevon's "Werewolves Of London" & Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama". Absolutely love this song, another one I just cant help singing along to when it comes on radio or MTV [b:7f97098aea]"Splashing through the sand bar, talking by the campfire It's the simple things in life like when and where We didn't have no internet, but man I never will forget The way the moonlight shined upon her hair And we were trying different things, we were smoking funny things Making love out by the lake to our favorite song Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow Singing 'Sweet Home Alabama' all summer long"[/b:7f97098aea] Heres a link to the video Enjoy

Where's your head at - Basement Jaxx

Approaching the 14th anniversary of this weekend and of a summer replaying the vid-yo of the set again and again while waiting for the LC results........ Sigh.
Going underground - The Jam. This will get ya moving.
[b:f189a1e992]Maroon 5 - Sunday Morning[/b:f189a1e992] From the debut album: Songs About Jane (2002) Really like this band, and this song is exactly what I love about weekends. Snuggling up just after youve woken. Ahhh... My idea of heaven. The video is also quite good, set in a bar with people singing the song karaoke style and spliced with the band singing the song themselves. [b:f189a1e992]"Sunday morning rain is falling, steal some covers share some skin Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable, you twist to fit the mold that I am in But things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do And I would gladly hit the road, get up and go if I knew That someday it would lead me back to you, that someday it would lead me back to you That may be all I need, in darkness she is all I see Come and rest your bones with me, driving slow on Sunday morning And I never want to leave"[/b:f189a1e992] Heres a link to the video Enjoy
brilliant  snow patrol - run one for the weekend, rockin tune n sexy vid guru josh project - infinity :bounce::bounce:
[b:d053451fe7]Puff Daddy featuring Jimmy Page - Come With Me[/b:d053451fe7] From the album: Godzilla: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (1998) Although the movie Godzilla is a load of shite (IMO) this song probably the best song Puff Daddy ever released, splicing rap & rock together in the best possible way since Run DMC mixed it up with Aerosmith back in 1987. Great song to listen to on max volume with the bass turned way up. [b:d053451fe7]"Hear my cries, hear my call, lend me your ears, see my fall See my error, know my faults, time halts, see my loss Know Im lacking, backtracking, where I met you, pistol packing Itchy finger, trigger happy, try to trap me, bad rap Wiretap me, back-stab me, break the faith, fall from grace Tell me lies, time flies, close your eyes Come with me"[/b:d053451fe7] Heres a link to the video Enjoy
