[b:bb011d9111]Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Way It Is[/b:bb011d9111] Another favourite song of mine that tries to show the damage that social injustice can do. Tupac Shakur later used the main melody from this song as a sample in his song "Changes" Although the piano is the main musical instrument throughout this song, its between the times of 2:08 to 3:08 that the piano really comes into its own, with a full minute of a piano solo. Theres a 2nd piano solo later in the track from the times 3:41 to the song's finale at 4:58. From the album of the same name: The Way It Is(1986) [b:bb011d9111]"They say hey little boy you can't go where the others go, Cause you don't look like they do I said hey old man how can you stand to think that way? Did you really think about it before you made the rules? He said: Son, that's just the way it is. Some things will never change"[/b:bb011d9111] Heres a link to the video. Enjoy

What A Wonderful World - The Ramones Version is brilliant

The entire Adele 21 cd :eeek: :giggle:
Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love
From the album: Riptide (1986)
The video to this song is an iconic one, with (Bra-less) models made up to look exactly like each other while playing instruments behind Robert Palmer.
Shania Twain later paid homage to this video, in the video for her song: Man! I Feel Like A Woman. Whereas in her version the gender roles were reversed, and she had male models playing instruments behind her. Dont wish to go off topic here but Shania Twain is smokin hot in her video hump
"Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the stuff, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough
You know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to love"
Heres a link to the video
Enjoy

[b:6734bab204]Take That - Never Forget[/b:6734bab204] From the album: Nobody Else (1995) This was their penultimate song before the band would later split. A song from which I took the meaning to be: Never to forget the people who helped you along the way, and helped you to become what you are today. After all, who we all have become, we would never have done it alone. I know some lads reading this are asking; "Take That Col?" dunno Well lads yeah Take That, and if you cant see why, just get yourself along to one of their concerts, because all the teeny boppers that liked them in the mid 90s are now all grown up. A Take That concert is one of the best places to pull wink Not that I'd know of course, I am married after all smile [b:6734bab204]"Just then I realised what a fool I could be, just cause I look so high you don't have to see me Finding a paradise wasn't easy but still, there's a road going down the other side of this hill"[/b:6734bab204] Heres a link to the video Enjoy

[b:c1c99d9497]Arrested Development - Mr Wendal[/b:c1c99d9497] From the album: 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of... (1992) The song is about a homeless man who is influential to a young man who befriends him, teaching him things that he could never learn academically. There's a cool message in this song, give it a listen, you may just like it. [b:c1c99d9497]" has tried to warn us about our ways but we don't hear him talk. Is it his fault when we've gone too far, and we got too far, cause on him we walk. , a man, a human in flesh, but not by law. I feed you dignity to stand with pride, and realise that all in all you stand tall. Go ahead Mr Wendal"[/b:c1c99d9497] Heres a link to the video Enjoy

[b:319f009666]Dusty Springfield - Goin' Back[/b:319f009666] From the album: Dusty Springfield: Golden Hits (1966) A beautiful song sung by a fantastic singer, and a song that always makes me think of when I was growing up during the 1980's. Back in times when neighbours were like family and asking a neighbour for a cup of sugar wasnt something to be embarrassed about. This song was also used in an old ESB advert around 1987 / 1988 [b:319f009666]"I can recall the time when I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend And now I think I've got a lot more than a skipping rope to lend Now there's more to do than watch my sailboat glide, and everyday can be my magic carpet ride And I can play hide and seek with my fears, and live my days instead of counting my years"[/b:319f009666] Heres a link to the fan made video, as this song was released before the inception of music videos Enjoy In case you fancy seeing it again, below is a link to the ESB advert that the song was used in
[b:3565db7769]Blur - Country House[/b:3565db7769] From the Album: The Great Escape (1995) Just a great song, nothing else needed to be said. However, the video starred a few of the top UK models from the mid 90's, and also starred comedians Keith Allen (Father of Lily Allen) & Matt Lucas of Little Britain fame. [b:3565db7769]"Oh, he lives in a house a very big house in the country Watching afternoon repeats and the food he eats in the country He takes all manner of pills and piles up analyst bills in the country Oh, it's like an animal farm, that's the rural charm in the country"[/b:3565db7769] Heres a link to the video Enjoy

[b:8662efe8c9]The Travelling Wilburys - Handle With Care[/b:8662efe8c9] From the album: The Travelling Wilburys Volume 1 (1988) The Travelling Wilburys are made up of the following artists: George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan. This song was their very first single, and also happens to be their to be their highest chart climber, reaching number 21 in the UK charts. This is probably my favourite artist collaboration song ever. [b:8662efe8c9]"I've been fobbed off, and I've been fooled, I've been robbed and ridiculed In day care centres and night schools, handle me with care I've been uptight and made a mess, but I'll clean it up myself I guess Oh the sweet smell of success, handle me with care"[/b:8662efe8c9] Heres a link to the video Enjoy
