Its that time for year for me, every february I go and get my routine STI checkup.
Its painless and all done and dusted within a few minutes, bloods taken, swabs done and all the questions answered.
Then its the week wait to get the results. All clear again....yipee!
So my question is: when was the last time you went for your sti check up?
I've met men on here socially who admit to never having been and women too. Which in my eyes is utter madenss. Peeps, we are having sex, doesnt matter how protected we think we are there are many sti's that can be caught. Read the very interesting sexual health link on the left at your leisure.
We are all here for the same reason, to have fun and being careful, looking after our own sexual health and also respecting the sexual health of others is as important as whether we enjoy each others company.
its important to keep this issue to the forefront of your minds.
Be honest in the poll and if this thread stikes any sort of chord with you and you dont want to admit to never having been tested.....get yourself an appt today!!!
Be safe and have fun!

Excellent post Mona  and I would just like to add that it is "FREE" in any of the clinics and also non-judgemental. Staff in these clinics are so respectful too.
Oh yeah I am within the last 6 months...
This is the best thread i have seen here in a long time. Many people seem to forget to get tested which is fine for them, but when you are risking other peoples life get off your ass and get the test done. And a very important point that people seem to forget S.T.I`s can be passed thought oral sex also.
For the sake of a few minutes embarrassment, get the test and keep everyone safe.
Thank you for posting this Mona.
An interesting & educational post, also a timely reminder, its springtime & the wood is rising.
Cover it always & test it often.
Excellent thread and a reminder to all of us..............xxxxxxxxanny
I have been asked to post this.
"Mona, I am no longer on the site but hopefully can use you as a medium, Sti's come in all forms, not only too the young but even to the oldest of swingers, age has no barrier. Lets not brush that under the carpet, but be truthful not only with one's self but potential meets"
"Ex member who still reads the forums"
Generally I used to go after a relationship or about 18mpnths or so.
Having said that Been meaning to do it the whole summer.
And ladies dont forget to have a smear test....it could save your life.
Where are the free clinics? The last time I went to the well woman for a full check up it was almost 200 quid! Any info greatly appreciated as it's been almost a year since the last one for me.
Eden, sent you a message as i dont think we can post place names here.
