Ok ladies and gents, in the year that saw the explosion of the oh so over rated 50 Shades Of Grey (well over rated for this community anyway lol wink ) how about we recommend some books that really are erotic that truly make the pulse race ....... and that might just give you some inpsiration to make that next meet absolutely mind blowing  I'll open the bidding with: [i:1d8da0dd0a]The Story Of O by Pauline Reage Story of O is a tale of female submission about a beautiful Parisian fashion photographer, O, who is blindfolded, chained, whipped, branded, pierced, made to wear a mask, and taught to be constantly available for oral, vaginal, and anal intercourse. Despite her harsh treatment, O grants permission beforehand for everything that occurs, and her permission is consistently sought.[/i:1d8da0dd0a] Not just a story for those who are interested in submission and domination but a story that will really open your mind in relation to sexual awakening and pushing boundaries you may not have ever considered. So if you have a book that you think might interest people, please add it to this thread. Include the title, author and a brief synopsis and then we can all exchange notes when we finally get a S4I book club up and running :notes: :giggle: Florrie

[b:57e4f94c11]Submission[/b:57e4f94c11] by Marthe Blau A story of sexual obsession, domination and extreme desire, Submission tells of a young married Parisian lawyer swept up in a cycle of sado-masochistic lust. A handsome stranger she meets in the courts issues her with a series of instructions which she finds herself compelled to follow. As the violence of their encounters escalates, these acts will become a dangerous addiction that she cant break. But how far can she go and how much of her life will she risk in the process?? Based on the author's own story, Submission sent shockwaves through the French establishment.

A perfect collection of 36 short erotic stories. Non taxing on the brain and does exactly what it says on the tin. smile I find it perfect for train journeys or for a quickie when your not in the form to read a whole novel. Oh and great for when your waiting for the batteries to recharge. lol Here's a bit about it. Why be forced to choose between two lovers when you can have them both - at the same time? The truth is .... we all want it. Take a walk on the wild side with this unforgettable, mind-blowing collection of erotic experiences. Here you'll find a window on to a whole new world - two women sharing a single man, two men dedicating themselves to pleasuring one woman, swingers, insatiable nymphomaniacs, menage a tois... a quatre .... each story's a sure-fire turn-on. A couple looks to spice up a jaded relationship; a woman attempts to satisfy voracious lusts with her lover .... and his friends; and three friends slip unexpectedly into something more than friendship. Too much of a good thing? Never! When it comes to erotica, three is definitely not a crowd - nor is four ... or more. I picked it up in one of our big bookstore chains, so easily got. It's just really good fun. wink

Me thinks this thread will be one for the ladies..... Most guys will wait for the DVD / Blueray to come out, rather than read the book. Suppose that's what makes men and women very different .... I have read the Story of O but that was a long long time ago, but i look forward to seeing some of the suggestions. I might have to take up reading before i go to sleep again .... Sean

I'm thinking of getting my hands on book 1 of the 50 shades series. My question is, would it be a good read for a man or is its audience intended to be female John

Just downloaded and read Can you keep a secret? by Katie Collins. It's only available as an eBook as far as im aware and is a true life story or account of one woman journey into the swinging world. I cant' really say that this book got my pulse racing but it was interesting and a little disturbing at times. Good to see our world from another persons perspective Rox

I wish I was as literarily minded as you all above me, but to be fair I'm stimulated more visually than that I am through imagining what I read. sad

Well for what its worth I tried the famous 50 shades and found it to be as dull as dish water. Badly written with a crap story line. Perhaps if I was coming from the Vanilla world were sex was unimportant I would have been interested, shocked and intrigued. But I suspect for us lot its a pity of a non runner. Anybody agree or disaagree?
