Point taken Mids, and I understand that! But it was a rant, I am removing my comment because I do not wish it to be interpreted in any way wrong from its intention which I think it might. I also do not wish to be negative, which was the whole point of Jilly and Dub's excellent comments on Jillys post re site changes for 2015.
I read the second comment in a different tone to you it seems, I read it as someone who enjoyed the mathematical slant and wanted to join in. While it was indeed your thread I don't think any harm was meant by it but then again I am in a fantastic mood today. I too can get frustrated with the hijacking of what I find to be good threads, an interesting topic can get lost in the banter of other people and some private jokes conducted on a public forum. But that's the nature of the beast I'm afraid, if you were to try to find a positive in the situation you might notice that any post to the thread keeps it to the top of the forum and therefore more likely to be noticed.
