I'm just wondering has anyone ever came across people they know personally off the site and met them on the site and what was it like with them when you came across them in person?

me me me :evil2: well id been chatting a guy for a little bit and the more i learned about him the more i though "ohh fuck i know this guy" but i revealed myself to him and we were both here for the same reasons so it was cool... now we have become quite good friends... :rainbow:

we have come across ppl on the site who we knew thru work or college or school ... for us its been fine as we are all here for a common goal and most ppl wudnt want there business shared so all has been fine

also had same, someone telling me they knew me but hadnt balls to expose themselvs so to speak, we are not a very trusting nation are we, but guess ppl give us good reason to be that way eh.

I have! I have encoutered two scenarios: The first, in a Local DIY store, I was in a que and someone said "Hi Padds" I turned around, over 10 people behind me, some people I knew! I just replied Hi and continued. The second was actually through a whisper on here, turns out I had been chatting with a friend unknown to me, that person knew it was me, from when I was on CAM! my initial reaction was and I qoute "Holy Shite" but then realised we where both here for the same reason, and both still are. Infact we have a laugh about it now I have also bumped into people in the normal day to day life off the site that I have met previously, but would never approach them, discretion is a must. Padds

Well as some that I speak to intimately here may know I had a person or persons on here recognise me on cam they proceeded to email me some nasty remarks and how the whole of my town knew my dirty little secret...er hello are you 12?..and why are you here then? Lest tosay the matter was dealt with but I have to say I still dont know nor do I care less, I'm here doing no worng with likeminded others. Though Amber and Sherri I get ya, its a pain not knowing who they are when they havent the Guts to reveal themselves.

Titan, Going on cam, is always going to be a risk, but as you rightly pointed out, anyone that recognises you on here are here for the same reasons. What you experienced in my eyes was a form of bullying and intimidation, and from your above post, I take it you handled it. Thankfully I have not had too endure any bad experiences or previous Users posts experiences, but I can understand that feeling. I for one would approach the User and confront them directly, if I where being treated in that manner. Padds

cant say its happened to me (or jax), but then we have lived in ireland for 3 years and the only friends we have are folks we met through the site. I think my reaction would always be positive, at least initially, to finding out that someone i talked to on here was someone i knew in "real life", and if someone tried to give me a hard time my first reaction would definately be "fuck off and get a life", closely followed by "you fucking hypocrite", and finally "dont pick a fight with someone who has less to lose than you do" (we have no community reputation to defend, and as we have no relatives here we have no family to worry about scandalising either....kind of a nice situation to be in really). I cant really see the point in someone saying that they know you and then not telling you who they are....why bother saying anything in the first place, unless your intention is to try and stress someone out?

Diff scenario, On the friday night of the meet n greet.. I was in the ladies with this fabulous woman from here..talk got round to nipples and piercing and so on, next thing hers is in my hand.. In walks my sister in law. (she lives local to the place n popped in for a drink) To be honest i dont think i'd be that bothered, if people recognised me here, they here for same reason, and no reason to be ashamed. I dont do shame, just pleasure lol.
