I have been in s4i for just over three years :grin: and i have to say i remember joining my first site a little before that...what an eye opening experience :eeek: I couldn't believe what people out there were doing (yes was/still am a little naive). And these people were normal everyday people :thumbup: ....but joining a place that is so open can be a very intimidating place. Speaking with a newbie today I was a little horrified at something that was said to him ...at this stage i shouldn't be surprised at anything i hear but it was very off putting to him (being a newbie) and to me (who is an old hand). Thankfully he didn't throw in the towel (was thinking of it after this episode) and i will have the pleasure of his company real soon :rascal: ...we ALMOST lost a hottie here!!! .....from inappropriate behaviour So my question is to both newbies & old hands...Has something ever been said or done to you that you concidered leaving the site over??(DO NOT NAME & SHAME HERE!! PLEASE!! Just an example will suffice)
I will start :grin: .....when i first joined I went on cam alot (face cam) and I have had a few people actually whisper me "I know who you are...you work at ********* & live in ******" :eeek: freaked me out especially if the person wouldn't tell me who they were or when i went to whisper back .....I've also had a couple of men who showed up at my work and said "hello worshipme" with no concideration if a co-worker or not was near me
....but that goes with showing my face on cam ...i don't really care anymore...I am an adult woman with needs and single...nothing wrong with what ANY of us doing if no one else is going to get hurt.

On the contrary Worship...I was thrown in at the very deep end, I ended up with a seasoned group whose antics hardened me up for anything and made me more egar to get involved.

Id venture to say that every member has had or will have a experience that did or will make them think about why they are here . We are adults , the choices we make are ours to make . The opinions and beliefs expressed by some will be daunting to others .But they are there's to have ,as it is there life , we don't have to follow the crowd or try to fit in. .As a person in your own right make the choices that you are comfortable with because after all you are the one who has to live with it .
Regarding others privacy , discretion is the name off the game , use it and you will be fine , don't and remember others talk about the good as well as the bad .
Remember that off site issues can NOT be dealt with on site , Naming and shaming is not tolerated on site but neither is aggression , The offering of illegal goods or services , bulling , any abusive behaviour to name but a few , If you are unsure , just ask , if a member off the mod team is not around to help , copy and paste the chat/whisper/pm and submit a ticket to admin for advice regarding it . All complaints are confidential .
