Cyber Bullying.
This thread is just to let members know that cyber bullying is out there although children are most likely targeted by cyber bullying adults can fall victim to it to and now becomming more popular.I put together this thread just to help people to understand what Cyber Bullying is all about.
Cyber-bullying "involves the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others.
Cyberbullying generally takes a psychological rather than physical
form but is often part of a wider pattern of a traditional way of bullying its often done through emails or uploading photos silent phone calls and text messages is also another form of attack by a cyber bully saying hurt full things in the chatroom or posting nasty thing
on a forum board.
Diffrent ways technology can be used to Cyber bully
Intimidation : This behaviour includes sending
threatening text (SMS) messages, posting abusive and
threatening comments on the victims profile or other
websites, or sending threatening messages via instant
messaging.
This behaviour involves setting up fake
profiles and web pages that are attributed to the victim.
It can also involve gaining access to someoneâs profile or
instant messaging account and using it to contact others and
subsequently bully while impersonating the account or profile
owner.
HUMILIATION This behaviour involves posting
images or videos intended to embarrass or humiliate
someone, it can involve users sharing and posting images or
videos of victims being abused or humiliated offline, or users
sharing personal communications such as emails or text
messages with a wider audience than was intended by the
sender.
REPORTING â This behaviour involves making false
reports to the service provider or reporting other users for a
range of behaviours with a view to having the users account
or website deleted.
