I'm asking this question more out of curiosity than anything else. :bounce: Background info: I think a lot of people have noticed the increasing discussion around a new (or not so new) surgery called labiaplasty (also know as labioplasty). More and more women are getting this procedure done to reshape their labia. There was a television show on recently (last 6 months) here in Ireland as well that was featuring people who thought their bodies were "embarrassing." This particular show featured a very young woman who hated the size of her labia who later decided that labiaplasty was a good medical decision. I pose this question to you: If you are a female, how do you view your labia? I think all women should be proud of what they have, but would you ever consider surgery? Were you ever embarrassed over the appearance of your labia? And men: does the size of a woman's labia matter when it comes to an intimate encounter? Do you have a preference? If you watch pornography, do you find that you tend to enjoy performers whose labia look a certain way? Does it matter at all in the end?
I used to hate mine but since i met my partner and i have found out what a man can do with them i have got to really like them. A friend of mine did have the surgery but to be honest it looked awful and she didnt have much sensation. But to each their own.
interesting thread, but have noticed a trait thats prob a little disturbing, most people, not just women, be they on swing sites or in general are not happy with body shape, size or bits that they would rather try to hide from public view.
when people realise its the person inside that makes people happy then thats the time they'll be comfortable with themselves and others.
prob not a lot to go on, but when you see all the good things in people, you soon find it easy to ignore other things and its the person themself that makes life such a great thing to experience.

A few of my friends and I watched that documentary, where the reporter went to a few measures to improve how she felt about her labia. After the show, my friends were very embarrassed about their labia. They had never really thought about it before, I suppose the show higlighted their flaws. My friend had to show me hers to ask me do I think thats normal (she knew I'd seen loads hahaha). She was embarrassed that they hung down a bit. I showed her mine too hehe... I didn't think there was paranoia around it! I think labia look nice wen they hang down a bit personally, I don't find tucked, porn star trimmed labia attractive

my labia are long and i had a bit of a paranoia about them for a while... but i wouldn't go as far as to have surgery on them... my girly has one of those neat little sets of labia that dont show at all... i really like the look of them to be honest than mine...
but hey none of the boys ever complained!
mmm not sure about thread its like asking big or small boobs... all tastes and shapes out there. Im tucked in so I guess Im not attractive to misscouple... lol see my point its like that M&S advert a few years back stating "we dress real women" and displaying curvy women... Guess im not real by M&S standards so, since Im skinny, no boobs etc... Thank god as I said all tastes out there ;o) What Im trying to say is dont knock one type to the expense of another just for reassurance purposes.
PS: in the example of the program the girl did have a serious problem and felt really unhappy so if surgery changed that, way to go!

Rude, hurtful comment which would not have been tolerated if the same sort of attitude had been applied to another body type. aww hunnie, i didnt mean i didnt like tucked in labia, mine are tucked in too, i just meant that i like the way labia hangs down if they happen to hang down lol!! Plus what I meant that pornstars have their labia removed and surgically tucked so :-p as for the thing about being all different types of women, I'm glad to agree! Having been on one end of the spectrum (slim) and the other end (chubby) I can say that I have had hurtful things said to me by both "categories". I have chosen of late not to join in with bitchy comments often made by girls who are jealous or insecure about themselves, i actually love girls with smaller boobs because first girl i was with was really petite but in saying that for me its personality all the way, id like to think i see beauty in all!
personally i think tucked in looks best from the front but labia that hang down look best from behind . I think its more an issue for women themselves than men , any woman thats confident is sexy

Guys, I saw the programme too and thought, what do I like as a guy in a womans labia! I have to say, I like all sorts whether their hanging or tucked in, hairy or shaved, its all about enjoy yourself and whatever makes you happy. If surgery is the route for you, well go ahead, but as a guy, I think they all look great and would not be put off either way, but it still comes down to yourself and how happy you are with your body and not the 'airbrushed', surgery fixed porn stars! Not sure if this is of any use.
