Hi, there seem to be a lot of fake profiles posting ads. I think it would filter out a lot of the time wasters if there was a feature that said only verified (image or in person) profiles are allowed to post.

There's the bit at the right side on the list of ads that shows if they're photo verified and such......so you can weed ads out easy enough if you want to.
Thanks for the reply. But, that still means that the user has to click on the ads, then visually mine to see if the profile is verified or not. Which in my opinion is a complete waste of time. Off the top of my head (read, I have better things to do than analyze the data),I'd guesstimate that 9/10 ads are fake ( in the couples/women looking for single men. Maybe the demographics are different in the couples for couples).
A much simpler and more elegant solution would be to make it so you have to verify. The ads then would show likee 0 couples/women are searching for men (about 99% of the time) but at least it would reflect reality.
We all have better things to do then search fake ads, see if they're legit, maybe look at a fake profile, check their comments to see if they may have turned off verification but still have comments etc.

Ah true enough.... I don't mind scrolling through them though, gives me something to read fake or not..... should be a button to click to filter them if you want rather than not let certain people post.

What if you're brand new and want to post an ad to meet and get verified, some genuine real users absolutely refuse to upload photos on a swing site. As a newbie I never photo verified as the criteria weren't ones I was willing to comply with but it was MONTHS before I got around to my first actual meet (and my first few meets I didn't do the comments thing). Plus it's a bit of a cheek to say to paying members that we're restricting their access to a service they subscribe to. ;) Put on your big boy pants and develop your own filtration system, it's very difficult to apply enough verification measures to suit everyone without potentially discouraging new members, members here have to take a degree of responsibility for authenticating who they are chatting to. If admin are aware a profile is fake it'll be dealt with, but I tend to veer away from restrictions that punish people until they prove they are innocent. Your observation is acknowledged, I will bring it to Admin to see if there is any way we can try to address the fake ads, are you reporting these fake profiles, I haven't seen many abuse reports coming in about fake profile ads? Any report would be investigated quickly and maybe result in the ad being taken down before any other members are duped.
