As most Camera’s these days are 6MP or above they tend to create large files, the maximum size of picture that can be uploaded by a user is 2MB, to get around this, I advise the following:

In windows do:

START>ALL PROGRAMMES>ACCESSORIES> and select PAINT or
START>RUN> and type PAINT or MSPAINT and press enter

Once paint has opened, the USER needs to select FILE>OPEN and select the picture they want to Upload. When the picture has opened, inform the user to select FILE>SAVE AS and in the Named box, that appears, change the SAVE AS TYPE to “JPG or JPEG” and save the file with a new name. (I recommend the user saves the Picture to their Desktop,,, easier to find when uploading)
That’s it,, the file has been reduced significantly is size with very little loss of quality and should now be ready to upload onto the site.

usually when u get your phone, theres a booklet, that explains how to do it, there is also usually a disc that you install to ur computer, which normally has the drivers and more instuctions on it, there will also normally be in ur phone package a usb line that u attach to your phone and the computer during installation of the drivers and instructions. Then just follow the instructions.

Connie you just need to reduce the amount of pixels on the photo then resave it under a different title, if this still does not work you may need to reduce the pixel size on your camera before taking photos as this is what I have to do, I hope that helps.

Please explain the rules for posting photos as they are not very clear !!! Is there a problem if all concerned in the photos approve and give consent to the publication ? None of mine are fake photoshopped or stolen ! It would be nice to have a very clear and unbiased policy which applies to everyone ! Rant over !!!

Liam, I took this from the AUP I hope it helps, if not you can direct your query either direct to admin or via a support ticket thumbup.gif

Photos

The photo should be mainly of the account holder(s), only non-distinguishable parts of third parties can be shown.

Before you post a picture containing the part of a third party defined above, you must have the approval of that person and be able to produce it to Admin, if required. If a complaint is received from someone who claims to be in the picture and is not happy about it, the onus of proof of permission will be on you.
Photos will be deleted if they contain any of the following:

* Anyone who looks under the age of 18.
* Contain little or nothing of the account holders.
* Photos that are the same or near enough the same as the ones that already exist or existed on profiles.
* Children can be seen - anywhere and in any context.
* People can be seen in the background.
* Animals can be seen.
* Any contact information such as an email address, URL or mobile/telephone number is shown.
* They are too small to be useful or if they have not been cropped correctly.
* If the photo is of poor quality, for example it is too small or too dark.
* The photo is blurred or too difficult to make out.
* They are deemed to be too obscene or inappropriate for this site.

Profile pics and/or avatars have to be discrete - no genitalia etc. This is because anyone on the internet can view the public areas of the website - even if they don't have a profile here themselves.

You would have two options.

Use the upload avatar function to upload a new pic [can be anything you like, cartoon/graphic/artwork - so long as there's no genitals] - those are shown whenever you post on the Forums.

Otherwise, use a pic in your gallery already, that's not assigned as 'private' and that will show on your profile for anyone viewing to get an idea of you.

You must first have a photo in your public album, keeping it private will not display on your profile. So once the photo is showing in your public album, click on the drop down button 'manage' under the photo you want to display and click on 'set to profile pic' if you wish the photo to be seen on the main homepage when you are logged in, click on 'set as album cover'.

An album photo must not be of an adult nature so no cock pics as these photos can be seen by non-members some of whom can be minors (they do not need to log into the site) if you try to set your album photo as an adult photo it will not allow it nor display it.
I hope this helps, if not shout me back thumbup.gif
