OK we are all adults on this site well at least i thought we were the meet and greet went great last week it was up to everyone to enjoy themselves. from what went on last night in the chat room people offended other people who gave up there night to entertain all who were there. everyone got what they wanted out of it.well i was hurt to see friends who went out of there way and put the night on to be slagged it is not on theses people have been on site a very long time and know lots of people all over Ireland.
I feel there is a power struggle here and that some people feel it is ok to slag off others dubcplmg did a great. dubcplmg please dont mind the begrudge rs i know that my profile says 2008 but been on here since 2004 and have seen people come and go i have seen power struggles between people trying to get themselves known dubcplmg has been on here and is not involved in any sort of power games all on here known them from the chat rooms and also meeting at parties they are the nicest people you could come across. they have helped with parties in myyyyyyyyyyyy home which were fab parties there was no age limits as in been older or size everyone was treated the same that is what swing is about all treated the same ok i better finish as i am so annoyed that people are so childish and don't have the guts to say how they felt on the night but instead just come on site and slag in the chat rooms.

Okay we believe this is may be directed at us so this is our right to reply.
Firstly we live in a democratic society with no pressure we believe, so we don't "have" to like everything. We never "slagged" anyone, we fully supported Ger's endeavours as he well knows, we commended him on his ability to put together such a large event and raising money for such a cause.
However we (yes thats us personally , our opinion) did not like the night, it was not for us and we didnt know that to attend we had to come back and pretend we did. We merely said we didnt enjoy and this was not liked by others in the room.
We have both been in this lifestyle a long time and are also both well known both here and in other avenues. We are invovled in this for us and not to keep anyone else happy. We will continue to stand by our convictions and not agree to something to keeep in with the crowd. Thankfully those who have taken the time to get to know us , know the genuine people we are , we are probably a little too honest and straight for a lot on here but thats just us.
We were of the opinion that this lifestyle allowed us to make our choices on who, what , where , when and how we played. We dont critise anyone for their preferences, we accept that we are all different and thats what makes life interesting.
We didnt feel there was any need for us to say anything on the night, we didnt feel any need to complain as this was just not for us, no ones fault so we just made our choice and left early.
May we also add to clear things up that we had no bad experience with anyone on the night. This was our personal "choice" to leave. Lastly we didn't understand the comment re power struggle. We have way to busy lives to get caught up in any nonsense like that, as you have said we are all adults.

i will be first to admit i have my preferences when it comes to men but thats exactly what they are- my preferences!!! But i wouldn't ever think of belittling someone who was not my type in public...they are people after all with feelings and there is someone out there that will think they are the bee's knees!!! There is NOT one person or group here that are perfect.........far from it....we are all like minded adults here for all different kinds of reasons but sadly of late it seems to have grown into a popularity contest

Dave & Mags.............i wasn't here last night so wasn't here to witness what happened but for whomever bonns original post was directed at......i think that is in response to your opinions last night......to be honest and ye know i like ye but i would have found it rude for that to be said in main....why say it at all??? why not be diplomatic?? I have never but found ye pleasant but would have found that rude which shocked me....

If someone did or didn't enjoy a meet and greet they have the right to say so surely without being made to feel that they shouldn't do because it doesn't tally with what other people happen to think. Everyone is different, some people for example might go to a concert and have a great time while for other people it might do nothing at all each to their own as they say, I personally don't see how someone saying that they happened not to enjoy a meet and greet equates to them "slagging off' that person.

i did not aim this at anyone in particular but i do take offence to people who think they have the god given right to be rude and uptight we all get out of swing what we put into it . we all have what we like or dislike and should respect each others individual difference. Yes you might be known but i am also known also their are lots of other people who are well known I don't go out to hurt or shame people and I certainly don't expect people to follow . I know that people know who I am and that I do not set out to hurt people. I see that we are all the same on here wanting the same thing funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that is what it is about funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn not bitching and moaning which of late that all seems to be all that is going on

i never mentioned slagged however i do agree with you that everyone has a right to their opinion....and if dave & mags didn't enjoy it then fair enough...like they said they left early and didn't feel the need to say it to the organizers that night. The reason why i found it rude to say it in chat (keep in mind i wasn't there just getting this jist from both posts) is that if i attended a party you threw and someone asked me did I enjoy myself...i would have answered tactfully and diplomatically and say yes i had but left early etc.......you may say that is lying, so be it but i would have just been taking someones feelings into account. Like we ALL have said we all have different preferences and opinions.
