Is there any way to exclude from searches inactive members, say those that haven't been online in 90 days or more?
75% of search results show members that haven't logged in in over 90 days!

Have to agree gets very annoying says theres over 2500 members in my area yet only about 100 active
Surely there some way of deleting any standard members that havent logged on in 60 days or more

cant be done?? LOL what a load. its just a database...

code:
search for name, where age is greater than 30 and less than 40
gets you everyone between 30 and 40.

search for name where login_date is less than today -30 would get you everyone online in the last 30 days.

the offline time is displayed, so the data exists... its pretty trivial.

last time i checked, there are 92k users on the system. - last search i ran came up with 21 hits, 15 of them over 90 days offline. thats 2:1 odds isn't it?

you don't think that it *might* reveal the number of *active* users as apposed to *subscribed* users, and that is commercially significant? nah.. they wouldn't do that. icon_wink.gif

You're probably right there is the commercial aspect to it, it's easier to get someone to join a site with 90,000+ members as opposed to one for example with the same number but where where you point out beforehand that about only 10 - 15% are actually actively participating on the site e.g. not logged on in ages or showing as "inactive" so you can see why they've made it so these entries can't be removed.

Yes it's certainly possible. I'll add activity filters into the pile of requests for improvements to the site which the team are working through thumbup.gif

Griff.

Griff is not about but I know it has been put forward to the techies and they will get to it when they can as there are other issues which have priority.

I have asked admin about this and they said "It's on the to do list but everyone in the office is bogged down with other stuff at the moment which is why there's been no movement on it.". I'm sure they will get to it as soon as possible.
