A number of users have complained they cant use their webcam if they using Linux or Opera.
A fix is below.
If someone is on Linux, they'll need to go to this page:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html
Look for uk.chat.fxxy.net and set it to Always Allow.
Hope this clears up the problem.

Good of you to post this, got mine working recently after a lot of work and now wish I had looked in this forum!
